Japan's Daiwa records 30% rise in first-quarter profit
TOKYO, July 30 (Reuters) - Daiwa Securities 8601.T booked a 30.2% rise in first-quarter net profit compared to a year earlier, it said on Wednesday. Japan's second-largest brokerage and investment bank recorded profit for the April-June period of 31.2 billion yen ($210.73 million), compared to 23.9 billion yen over the same period a year prior.
