Nov 5 (Reuters) - The Nasdaq Composite was set to confirm a correction on Thursday as chipmakers sank on fears of tougher AI regulation after the Democrats' midterm sweep, setting up the index for its worst day since the April 2025 "Liberation Day" rout. .N
     
At 1:30 p.m. EST, the Dow Jones Industrial Average .DJI was down 3.00% at 51,757.21. The S&P 500 .SPX was down 3.93% at 7,386.16, and the Nasdaq Composite .IXIC was down 5.21% at 24,396.08.
