** Shares of casinos and gaming operator Delta Corp DELT.NS down 8.5% to 87.1 rupees

** India govt increases tax rates on casinos, betting, online money gaming to 40% from 28% earlier

** Stock set to drop most in a session since March 13, 2024

** Nearly 8.8 mnln shares traded, ~2x its 30-day moving avg

** YTD, DELT down ~21%
