India's Delta Corp gains on June-quarter earnings boost

** Shares of Delta Corp  DELT.NS  rise as much as 2.25% to
193.45 rupees
    ** Company engaged in casino gaming industry reports 19%
rise in first-quarter profit, aided by strong demand for casino
gaming
    ** Net profit rises to 679.1 mln rupees in June quarter from
571.3 mln rupees a year earlier
    ** Revenue from ops up 9% to 2.73 bln rupees; core profit
grows 9.5% to 958 mln rupees
    ** Stock down 9.4% in 2023 so far compared with 9.4% rise in
benchmark Nifty 50 index  .NSEI
