Italy's Energy Ministry has authorized the new offshore gas field Gemini in Sicily, estimated to produce 1.2 billion cubic meters in eight years, Italian daily MF wrote on Friday. Eni will operate it without its partner Energean ENOG.L, the newspaper added.

The state-controlled power grid operator said on Thursday it had increased the maximum amount of its EMTN bond programme to €6 billion from €4 billion.

Shares in the Italian diagnostics company rose as much as 12% on Thursday after market rumours of a takeover interest that traders linked to a report in M&A website Betaville. The possible takeover would come from an unidentified company, Betaville wrote, citing "people following the situation."

Brokerage Alphavalue said on Friday it raised its rating for the luxury group to 'Add' from 'Reduce'.

The luxury yachtmaker has suspended its Road to 2030 green strategy because of a lack of consumer demand, linked to concerns about poor availability of low-carbon e-methanol fuels, CEO and Chairman Massimo Perotti said in an interview with Friday's Il Sole 24 Ore. To tackle the problem, he urged the EU to support investments on e-methanol.

The construction and engineering company said on Thursday it had set a price of €2 per share for its capital increase, set to begin on June 8. CDP Equity, which owns a share of just over 21%, has committed to underwriting up to a maximum of 9.6 million of unsubscribed shares. Trevi added it had signed an agreement with several banks for the remaining unsubscribed shares.
