Dino Polska rises as Q2 beat demonstrates resilience
BUZZ-Dino Polska rises as Q2 beat demonstrates resilience ** Shares of Dino Polska DNP.WA rise around 5% after the Polish retailer posted a second-quarter beat despite pressure from slowing food price inflation
** The company posted a quarterly net profit of 400.1 million zlotys ($108 million) late on Thursday, beating analysts' average forecast of 376 million zlotys
** "The company has proven that in the most difficult market environment this year — because we assume that basket deflation may have exceeded 4% — it is able to defend its results," Trigon analyst Grzegorz Kujawski says
** Kujawski expects earnings to accelerate in the second half of 2026, as easing deflation and a softer base of comparison mean Dino may need to invest less in keeping prices low to attract customers
** The stock leads gains in Poland's blue-chip index WIG20 .WIG20 and is among top performers on pan-European STOXX 600 .STOXX
