DNB sees Zealand Pharma's petrelintide as potentially 'best-in-class' amylin

** DNB Markets starts coverage of Danish biotech company
Zealand Pharma  ZELA.CO  with a "buy" rating, saying the
company's weight-loss drug candidate could become the "go-to,
next-generation obesity treatment"
    ** The broker sets PT for the company at DKK 1,050
    ** Zealand Pharma on Tuesday said it had enrolled the first
patient in its so-called Phase 2b ZUPREME-1 trial with its
weight-loss drug candidate petrelintide
    ** DNB sees petrelintide as potentially the first and
"best-in-class" amylin, offering GLP-1-like efficacy but with
better tolerability and weight-loss composition
    ** The company said it expects to initiate mid-stage trial
of petrelintide in people with overweight or obesity with type 2
diabetes in the first half of 2025
    ** Zealand Pharma stock was up 4.7% at 1238 GMT, making it
one of the best performers on pan-European STOXX 600  .STOXX 
index
