Apple AirPods 3 shipments to hit 85 mln units in 2022 - report

** Apple Inc's  AAPL.O  annual 2022 shipments of its latest
AirPods 3 will hit 85 mln sets, up 3.7% y/y, according to
tech-focused data analytics firm TrendForce
    ** AAPL on Monday launched third-generation AirPods wireless
ear buds, which are sweat- and water-resistant for use during

    ** Suppliers including Taiwan's Epistar, DOWA, optical
components makers II-VI Inc  IIVI.O  and Finisar will benefit
from higher shipments - TrendForce 
    ** AAPL launched the new AirPods along with two new MacBook
Pro models that run on more powerful in-house chips
    ** Co also launched two new M1 chips, M1 Pro and M1 Max 
    ** Up to Tuesday's close, stock up 12.1% YTD
