** Shares of Australia's Dreadnought Resources DRE.AX rise as much as 16.7% to A$0.035, its biggest intraday pct gain since October 3

** Stock at highest level since November 18

** Diversified miner enters joint venture agreement with Australia's Black Cat Syndicate BC8.AX

** BC8 in an announcement said Heads of Agreement and Ore Purchase Agreement signed with DRE to develop and process ore from the Star of Mangaroon open pit deposit

** Nearly 13.2 million shares change hands, 1.3x the 30-day average volume

** Stock has risen 166.7% this year, including today's gains
