Australia's Cosmos rises on acquiring Lithium project in Canada

** Shares of Australia's Cosmos Exploration Ltd  C1X.AX 
rise as much as 8.8% to A$0.185 — hitting their highest since
Nov. 2
    ** Stock set to mark best day since Dec. 8, if gains hold  
    ** Mineral explorer says it has reached conditional
agreement to acquire the prospective Corvette Far East Lithium
Project in Canada 
    ** Adds will undertake a conditional A$2.14 mln ($1.43
mln)placement at A$0.16 to underpin the acquisition
    ** About 1.1 mln shares change hands compared with the
30-day moving average of 104,000 shares  
    ** Stock has risen 6.3% this year, as of last close
($1 = 1.4957 Australian dollars)
