** Shares of Australia's Embark Early Education EVO.AX fall as much as 3.9% to A$0.61, their lowest level since October 28

** Stock set for its weakest trading session in more than a month, if current trends hold

** The preschool education services provider to raise A$12 million ($7.98 million) through placement

** Offer price of 60 Australian cents per share represents a 5.5% discount to firm's last close

** Placement funds to be used to partly fund takeover bid for all ordinary shares it does not already own in Mayfield Childcare MFD.AX

** Stock down 19.6% YTD, including session's moves
