POLITICS
(*) Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, in her first parliamentary speech since last month's referendum defeat, on Thursday ruled out a government reshuffle and pledged to serve a full parliamentary term, until the second half of 2027.
Italy's government moved on Thursday to limit disruption from a major landslide that cut rail and motorway links along a key north-south transport corridor, declaring a state of emergency and pledging millions for repair efforts.
ECONOMY
Italy is preparing to cut its GDP growth estimates to factor to factor in the negative impact of rising energy prices, Economy Minister Giancarlo Giorgetti said on Thursday.
ISTAT releases February industrial output data (0800 GMT).
Bank of Italy releases February data on Italian residents deposits with domestic banks, bank lending to non-financial companies and gross bad loans at Italian banks.
DEBT
Treasury sells up to 8 billion euros ($9.35 billion) in BTP bonds. Subscriptions close at 0900 GMT.

According to several Italian newspapers the lender is exploring a possible acquisition of the Banca del Mezzogiorno banking group.

Italy on Thursday proposed to appoint Lorenzo Mariani as the new chief executive of defence group Leonardo, replacing Roberto Cingolani, a Treasury statement said, confirming an earlier Reuters report.
As widely expected, Rome also proposed reappointing Claudio Descalzi and Flavio Cattaneo at the helm of energy groups Eni and Enel respectively.
Igor De Biasio will lead air traffic controller Enav, replacing Pasqualino Monti.

Canada is lobbying to be admitted to the GCAP, the UK- Italy-Japan joint advanced fighter jet development programme, the Financial Times reported on Friday, citing people familiar with the matter.

California State Teachers' Retirement System (CALSTRS), an investor in the Tuscan bank with a 0.09% stake, will support the dissident slate put forward by PLT Holding for the renewal of the board, voting intentions published online showed. CALSTRS also said it would vote against Chairman Nicola Maione and the head of the appointments committee Domenico Lombardi, as well as director Alessandro Caltagirone among others, in the second round of voting were the board-proposed slate to win the initial vote.
BRUNELLO CUCINELLI BCU.MI
Revenues at the Italian luxury group rose 14% at constant exchange rates in the first quarter to 369 million euros ($432 million), driven by strong sales in the Americas and Asia. At current exchange rates, revenues were up 8.1%.
UNICREDIT CRDI.MI
The Italian lender said acquiring control of Commerzbank CBKG.DE would obligate it to bid for the roughly 30% of Poland's mBank MBK.WA that Commerzbank does not already own, increasing the cost of its takeover.

Non-binding bids for Bioenerys, Snam’s wholly owned biomethane unit, are expected in early May, Il Sole 24 Ore newspaper reported on Friday. Edison and Verdalia, a European biomethane platform backed by Goldman Sachs Infrastructure Partners, are among those interested in the assets, it said.

The Italian asset manager said on Thursday that the net outflows into managed assets in March amounted to €5.63 billion ($6.59 billion)
