POLITICS
Italy's Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni said on Monday that
her government had faced 'atrocious' accusations but that her
conscience was clear, after Rome's ability to rescue migrants at
sea came under scrutiny following several shipwrecks.
Seventeen migrants rescued after the latest deadly shipwreck
in the Mediterranean were brought ashore by the Italian
authorities on Monday as Italy faced criticism for its response
to the crisis.
Germany has formed an alliance with Italy and some Eastern
European countries opposing the planned phase-out of internal
combustion engines from 2035, and they want to make their own
proposal.
ECONOMY
ISTAT releases January industrial output data (0900 GMT) and
monthly bulletin on the state of the economy in February (1000
GMT).
DEBT
Treasury sells 3.5-4.0 billion euros new 3.80% BTP bonds due
April 15, 2026; 2.5-3.0 billion euros 3.85% BTP bonds due Dec.
15, 2029; 1.5-2.0 billion euros 4.0% BTP Green bonds due April
30, 2035; 500-750 million euros 2.15% BTP bonds due March 1,
2072. Subscriptions close at 1000 GMT.

The Italian fashion group said on Monday it had an excellent
start of the season as it posted higher-than-expected operating
profits for last year.

The Italian aerospace group posted on Monday a 15% rise in
sales to 357 million euros last year, slightly beating its 2022
revenues guidance of between 330-350 million euros.
