Star Entertainment looking at other options for Brisbane casino stake after deal fails

Aug 1 (Reuters) - Australia's Star Entertainment SGR.AX said on Friday it was considering alternative options for its 50% stake in Brisbane's new Queen's Wharf casino and hotel complex, after its Hong Kong-based investors declined to extend a key deal deadline. The embattled casino operator, earlier this month, said it had secured a last-minute reprieve from Chow Tai Fook Enterprises and Far East Consortium 0035.HK, with both sides agreeing to extend the deadline to terminate the deal to July 31.
