DEBT Italy's Treasury said it planned to buy back four BTP bonds and one floating-rate CCTeu certificate, all maturing next year, in a reverse action on Wednesday using cash reserves held at the bank of Italy. COMPANIES BANCA MONTE DEI PASCHI DI SIENA BMPS.MI, BANCO BPM BAMI.MI The Italian government will hold onto its remaining 4.9% stake in the bailed-out bank, while it incorporates its recently-acquired rival Mediobanca MDBI.MI, two sources close to the matter told Reuters. But Giorgia Meloni's government is counting on a future merger deal to eventually cut the shareholding, the sources said.
