Fluxys' first-half revenue climbs as gas consumption holds steady; transit volumes rise Sept 28 (Reuters) - Belgian gas infrastructure operator Fluxys FLUX.BR on Monday posted first-half revenue of €343 million ($389.82 million), up €13.7 million year-on-year.
Net profit rose to €45.3 million, driven by lower expenses on hydrogen and carbon-management activities and growth in the regulated asset base.
Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation stood at €174.2 million in the six months ended June 30, up from €155.7 million during the same period a year earlier
The company also said that border-to-border gas transmission volumes rose by nearly 5% to 167.2 terawatt-hours (TWh), with flows to Germany up 25% at 122.6 TWh, though LNG shipments through Zeebrugge fell sharply from May onwards and remained low through August
Gas storage at the Loenhout underground facility stood at 60% as of September 21, below prior-year levels, with 20% of capacity still available for sale ahead of winter, the company added
