NZ's Fonterra sees full-year earnings at top end of forecast range
NZ's Fonterra sees full-year earnings at top end of forecast range Sept 2 (Reuters) - New Zealand dairy giant Fonterra FCG.NZ said on Wednesday that it expects full-year underlying earnings to come in at the top end of its previously announced forecast range of 60 New Zealand (NZ) cents to 70 NZ cents per share.
Here are some details:
"As we look to close our accounts for the year, it has become clear that we have maintained our solid performance across FY26," said Chief Executive Officer Richard Allen.
Allen added that the latest earnings upgrade supports a strong full-year dividend, after the dairy co-operative declared a record total annual dividend of 57 NZ cents last year.
In late May, the company raised its annual earnings outlook to a range of 60 NZ cents to 70 NZ cents, from an earlier forecast of 50 NZ cents to 65 NZ cents.
Fonterra reported normalised earnings per share of 71 NZ cents a year ago.
In July, Fonterra trimmed the top end of its milk price forecast for the 2026/27 season, citing weak prices amid softer-than-expected demand and robust global supply.
The company will report its full-year 2026 annual results on September 24.
