** Mineral explorer to raise A$8.6 mln ($5.6 mln) via placement at A$0.205/share, 10.8% premium to last close

** Says funds from placement will be used to advance development at its gold projects, others

** About 2.6 mln shares traded, 1.8x the 30-day avg

** YTD, FRS surges 1,185.7%
