Fortescue reports 5% fall in fourth-quarter iron ore shipments July 31 (Reuters) - Australian miner Fortescue FMG.AX posted a 5% drop in fourth-quarter iron ore shipments on Friday, hurt by subdued performance at Hematite operations.
The world's fourth-largest iron ore miner shipped 52.7 million metric tons (Mt) of iron ore during the quarter, down from 55.2 Mt a year earlier.
That beat a Visible Alpha consensus estimate of 52.48 Mt.
