May 5 (Reuters) - Fraport FRAG.DE, operator of Germany's largest airport, on Tuesday said increased traffic to other regions, most notably Asia, offset fewer flights to the Middle East region in the first quarter, helping core profit to rise in the period.
Fraport's earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation rose by 10.4% to 196 million euros ($229 million) in the January-March period, beating analysts' consensus of 192.83 million euros based on LSEG data.
