Fraport up as May passenger numbers rise, Trump comments raise hopes for peace

Updates share move, adds boost from Trump's Iran war comments, benchmark index and peer moves in bullets 1-3
** Shares of Fraport FRAG.DE jump 5%, among the top gainers on STOXX 600 .STOXX and Germany's mid-cap index .MDAXI, after the airport operator reported slightly higher May passenger numbers
** European travel stocks are also boosted by hopes of a quick end to the war between the U.S. and Iran, with the region's benchmark travel and leisure index .SXTP rising 3.5%
** Fraport's peers Aena AENA.MC, Flughafen Zuerich FHZN.S and Aeroports de Paris ADP.PA rise between 2% and 4.4%
** Total passenger numbers at Fraport's actively managed airports increased to around 17.1 million in May, up nearly 2% from a year ago, the company says
