* MJ GLEESON: British homebuilder MJ Gleeson GLEG.L said it expected a weaker first half of fiscal 2027, warning that cancellations and delayed purchases from first-time buyers were likely to increase in the run-up to the launch of the upcoming "Your First Home" scheme in April.

* GOLD: Gold prices slipped on Friday as oil prices rebounded, fanning inflation worries and higher-for-longer interest rate expectations, while investors awaited key US payrolls data later in the day.

* METALS: Copper dropped and was set for its biggest weekly drop in London since March, as a rout in technology stocks battered markets.
