The tech-heavy Nasdaq surged nearly 3% on Wednesday, leading Wall Street's main
indexes higher, as upbeat quarterly reports from Microsoft and Alphabet lifted
sentiment ahead of a key U.S. interest rate decision later in the day. .N
At 1344 ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average .DJI was up 0.27% at
31,847.89. The S&P 500 .SPX was up 1.31% at 3,972.32 and the Nasdaq Composite
.IXIC was up 2.51% at 11,852.552.
