Australian gold stocks fall for third straight session

** Australian gold stocks  .AXGD  fall as much as 2.3%, on
track for a third straight session of decline - if current trend
holds
    ** Sub-index hits its lowest level since Dec. 5
    ** Gold closed lower on Friday after bullion prices hit a
more than five-week high in the previous session  GOL/ 
    ** Shares of Northern Star Resources  NST.AX  and Evolution
Mining  EVN.AX , Genesis Minerals  GMD.AX  fall between 1.1% and
3.9%
    ** Sub-index has gained 20.6% this year, as of 0022 GMT
