Europe Gasoline/Naphtha-Gasoline refining margins jump

LONDON, Oct 7 (Reuters) - Northwest European gasoline refining margins rose nearly $4 to about $44.82 a barrel on Wednesday, on worries over further supply disruptions and low stocks.
Varo sold 4,000 metric tons of E5 gasoline barges to Trafigura in the session
Exxon sold 2,000 tons of E10 barges to Varo. Exxon also sold an E5 barge to Trafigura in the Platts window
US gasoline stocks rose to 204.7 million barrels in the week ended October 2, the Energy Information Administration said, compared with analysts' expectations in a Reuters poll for a draw EIA/S
However, US Gulf Coast gasoline stocks were at their lowest level since September 2017 last week, while Midwest inventories were at a record low
US forecasters forecast a storm forming in the Gulf of Mexico and speeding towards Louisiana and Mississippi would become the first Atlantic hurricane of 2026 within two days
The storm is forecast to pass through offshore areas with oil and gas production facilities and onshore areas with major refineries - offshore areas in the path produce 15% of US crude oil and 5% of the country's natural gas
Venezuela halted the Cardon refinery, its second-largest with a capacity of 310,000 barrels per day, after a fire sparked by a ruptured natural gas line
Gasoline shipments from Belarus to Russia by rail fell in September by nearly 13% from the previous month and diesel shipments dropped by 29%, ahead of planned maintenance at one of its refineries
However, fuel supplies remained above monthly averages recorded since the start of the year, according to two industry sources and Reuters calculations
