** Shares of MetalsTech MTC.AX rise 9.1% to A$0.120, their highest since March 18

** Gold explorer says it will raise A$3.3 million ($2.08 million) at an issue price of 13.7 Australian cents per share

** Issue price represents a premium of 24.5% to stock's last close

** Co says funds will be used for its flagship gold project in Slovakia

** 184,823 shares change hands, 2.2x the 30-day average of 85,530

** Stock down 14.3% YTD, including moves in today's session
