** Shares of Australia's Global Lithium Resources  GL1.AX 
rise nearly 4% to A$1.57, on track for their best day since June
7, if current gains hold 
    ** Lithium explorer says it has launched stage-2 exploration
drilling activities at its Marble Bar lithium project in Western
Australia
    ** Co says previous exploration at project demonstrated
multiple prospective lithium bearing corridors, which are yet to
be explored
    ** Says it has put provisions in place to extend the
drilling program if significant results are acquired
    ** Stock down 18.2% YTD, as of last close
