   ** Shares of mechanical engineering company Goodwin PLC GDWN.L jump over 42% to a record high of 22,000p; best day in nearly 3 decades

   ** GDWN is top gainer on FTSE Mid 250 Index <.FTMC>, which is down ~0.11%

   ** Co expects FY trading profit before tax to exceed 71 mln ($95.29 mln) pounds, a 100% increase compared with the prior year, following strong trading across businesses

   ** Says order book of 365 million pounds as of date and visibility across multiple key defence and nuclear programmes supports activity and profitability.

** Declares a special one-off interim dividend of 532 pence per share

** Names Adam Deeth as finance director with effect from October 28

** Including session's move, GDWN has risen 172.26% YTD vs sub-index which has risen 9.19%
