Australia's GrainCorp rises to over 5-month high on earnings boost, outlook upgrade

** Shares of GrainCorp GNC.AX rise as much as 9.2% to A$7.810, their highest levels since December 3, 2024

** Shares mark their biggest intraday pct boost since May 11, 2023, and the biggest gainer in the local benchmark .AXJO

** The grain handler posts an underlying NPAT of A$69 million ($44.39 million) during the half-year period, higher than A$57 million last year

** Co also increases its forecast for annual NPAT to A$65 million - A$95 million on strong second-half performance

** YTD, shares up 4.5%
