Exploration Update

Drilling Schedule Accelerated - Operations Confirmed to Commence w/c 6 October

Great Western Mining Corporation PLC, a strategic and precious metals
exploration and development company, is pleased to provide an update on
exploration activities at key targets in the Walker Lane belt of Nevada, USA.

· 1,800-metre reverse circulation (RC) drilling programme at the
high-priority Rhyolite Dome and West Huntoon prospects is on schedule and is
now expected to commence during the week beginning 6 October.

· All permits are in place with authorisation to drill at the
Rhyolite Dome gold prospect received, ensuring the programme can proceed
without delay.

· Recently completed IP survey at Rhyolite Dome is being used to
pin-point drill locations.

· Acquisition of cuttings from three RC holes drilled at West Huntoon
by a previous operator but never processed will be analysed and provide
valuable additional data.

· Great Western's dedicated operational and technical team is now in
place to oversee the campaign and maximise efficiency and data quality.

· Assay results from soil sampling programme at high-grade Pine
Crow/Defender Tungsten prospects expected from the laboratory shortly.

Great Western Chairman Brian Hall commented: "We are eager to start our fully
funded drill programme, both at Rhyolite Dome which has never previously been
drilled and to build on previous work at West Huntoon, where a strategic drill
hole intersected 45.7m at 0.27% copper and where there is also potential for
precious metals. These two targets represent significant gold and copper
opportunities within a region of world-class geology and our exploration
activities to date have delivered consistently encouraging results. Our aim
with this drilling programme is to generate robust results that de-risk and
validate the work done to date, with every metre drilled contributing to an
enhanced picture of the subsurface and the resource potential of our
portfolio. We look forward to providing further news flow throughout Q4,
reporting on progress as this drilling programme advances and on results from
our soil sampling programme at the high-grade Pine Crow/Defender Tungsten
prospects."
