Grupa Azoty falls, analysts say gas prices to test fertilizer buyers' breaking point
BUZZ-Grupa Azoty falls, analysts say gas prices to test fertilizer buyers' breaking point ** Shares in Grupa Azoty ATTP.WA fall around 4% after it flagged weak Q3 fertilizer demand, with analysts saying soaring gas prices would test whether farmers could afford to keep buying fertilizers through the second half of 2026
** "At some point, when gas keeps rising and rising, there is a barrier to simply passing those prices on to farmers," Erste Group analyst Jakub Szkopek said
** Szkopek also pointed to the LyondellBasell arbitration with Orlen PKN.WA, which he said could delay the sale of Azoty's Polimery Police plant, and a repeatedly postponed share issue to the state as factors that might affect the share price
** As of 0814 GMT, shares of the chemicals group were down 4.2%, the worst performers on Poland's mid-cap index WIG40 .WIG40
