March 3 (Reuters) - Poland's Grupa Azoty ATTP.WA said on Monday its supervisory board had appointed Marcin Celejewski as the chemicals group's new chief executive officer.
The appointment follows the February dismissal of former CEO Andrzej Skolmowski, as Azoty seeks to reach an agreement with creditors amid financial troubles driven by high gas prices and cheap fertilizer imports.
Celejewski specializes in corporate strategy and business transformation.
He recently served as CEO of Azoty's Pulawy unit after holding executive roles at LOT Polish Airlines, PKP Intercity and Poczta Polska.
The company's supervisory board also appointed Malgorzata Krolak as deputy CEO of the management board.
Supervisory board vice-chair Aleksandra Machowicz-Jaworska, who previously served as acting CEO, will act as deputy CEO for up to three months.
All appointments take effect immediately.
