Poland's statistics office will release unemployment data at 0730.

LAW AND JUSTICE (PIS)
The deadline set by the leadership of Poland's largest nationalist opposition party Law and Justice (PiS) for its politicians to submit a declaration of loyalty saying they are not members of any other associations expires at midnight on Thursday, PAP news agency reported. At noon PiS leader Jaroslaw Kaczynski is scheduled to meet with former prime minister Mateusz Morawiecki. Members of Morawiecki's association have stated that they will not submit the declaration, raising the possibility of the party splitting.

DEMOGRAPHIC CHANGE
After the summer holidays in Poland some children will have to go to a new school, because schools and pre-schools are being shut down at a fast pace due to demographic changes, Dziennik Gazeta Prawna daily reported.

NATIONAL RECOVERY PLAN
By the end of August, operators must connect 128,000 apartments and houses to high-speed internet to prevent Poland from losing 1.4 billion zlotys ($369.69 million) in EU subsidies allocated for this purpose under the National Recovery Plan, Rzeczpospolita daily reported.

AZOTY
Trade unions at Polish chemical group Azoty ATTP.WA, have presented numerous demands to the company's management board and declared they are ready to strike, Parkiet daily reported. Among other things, they are demanding a net increase of 1,500 zlotys in the base salary of all employees, effective September 1, with retroactive adjustment dating back to June 1.
