Abeona up on clinical development plans for eye diseases therapies

** Shares of biopharma co Abeona Therapeutics Inc  ABEO.O  up 3.6% at $2.6
    ** Co reports three internally developed investigational pre-clinical gene
therapy product candidates from its eye diseases treatment program  
    ** The experimental therapies – ABO-504, ABO-503 and ABO-505 – showed
encouraging results in animal studies, last year - ABEO
    ** Co's programs expansion with experimental candidates will focus on
potential treatment of three serious genetic eye diseases 
    ** The pre-clinical programs are investigating use of protein shells that
encase the genetic material for a type of small virus called, adeno-associated
virus (AAV) 
    ** ABEO to submit first pre-investigational New Drug (IND) application
meeting request to FDA this month 
    ** Also plans to report new data from these programs in Q2 of 2023 
    ** In the past year, co's stock fell 63.44% in value
