Australia's Alderan hits 2-week high on Utah project drilling start

** Shares of copper and gold explorer Alderan Resources Ltd
 AL8.AX  rise as much as 12.20% to A$0.046, their highest since
Sept. 30
    ** Starts its 10-hole drilling programme at its Detroit
copper-gold project in Utah, U.S.  urn:newsml:reuters.com:*:nASX60nrSG
    ** Adds it received regulatory approval for seven-holes
planned in its current ten-hole programme from Utah Division of
Oil, Gas and Minerals
    ** Stock up 4.9% at 0354 GMT 
    ** More than 2.0 mln shares traded vs their 30-day moving
avg of about 930,000 shares
    ** Stock currently down 65.8%, as of last close
