MILAN, Feb 6 (Reuters) - Enel ENEI.MI has won new
electricity customers in seven areas of Italy including the
cities of Milan and Rome in the auction organised to liberalise
the market, an official body said on Tuesday.
Regional utility Hera HRA.MI also acquired new customers
in seven areas of the country, while Edison EDNn.MI won new
customers in four areas of the country.
Enel and Hera bid under the base price to win the biggest
portion of new customers over a total of around 5 million of
people who did not pick a new contract in the liberalised
market.
