July 31 (Reuters) - Italian regional utility Hera
HRA.MI posted on Wednesday a 16% rise in first-half net profit
to 218.4 million euros ($236.53 million) in a reduced volatility
scenario for energy commodity prices.
Hera's half-year earnings before interest, tax, depreciation
and amortisation came in at 732.7 million euros, up 2%
year-on-year driven by all core businesses such as integrated
water cycle, waste management, energy sales and distribution.
The Bologna-based utility reported a 33% fall in revenue to
5.54 billion euros due to lower energy prices and lower values
in trading activities.
