POLITICS
The number of people living in poverty in Italy rose in 2023
to its highest level in about a decade, data showed on Monday,
despite an economic rebound since COVID-linked restrictions were
eased.
DEBT
Treasury sells 7.0 billion euros 6-month BOT bills due Sept.
30, 2024 and 1.5 billion euros 12-month BOT bills due June 14,
2024. Subscriptions close at 1000 GMT.
The Treasury said on Monday it would offer new 3- and 7-year
BTP bonds in the second quarter of 2024.

INTESA SANPAOLO BMPS.MI
The Italian lender's CEO Carlo Messina received a total
compensation of 5.75 million euros for 2023, the bank said on
Monday, adding that the figure included 1.65 million euros paid
in shares.
ENI ENI.MI
French bank Credit Agricole CAGR.PA said on Monday that it
would not provide financing to Exxon Mobil XOM.N and Eni's
Rovuma liquefied natural gas (LNG) project in Mozambique, citing
commitments to refrain from new fossil fuel developments.
BANCA GENERALI BGN.MI
The Italian bank's main shareholder Generali GASI.MI on
Monday presented its slate of candidates for Banca Generali's
board which is up for renewal at an April 18 shareholders'
meeting.
Generali proposed new terms for current CEO Gian Maria Mossa
and chairman Antonio Cangeri.
HERA HRA.MI
Board meeting on FY results, followed by conference call
(1430 GMT).
RAI WAY RWAY.MI
The Italian broadcasting towers company said in its new
2024-2027 industrial plan, unveiled on Monday, that it aims to
increase adjusted EBITDA to 207 million euros by 2027, from
180.3 million euros last year.

M&A, ITA AIRWAYS
EU antitrust regulators warned on Monday that Lufthansa's
LHAG.DE intention to buy a minority stake in ITA Airways could
harm competition and push up prices, prompting Italy and the
German airline to come up with remedies in the coming weeks.
