** Shares in UK-based pharmaceutical firms rise as Britain and the U.S. are close to agreeing on zero tariffs for pharmaceutical products, according to sources

** Shares in GSK GSK.L up near 1.4% at 1,815.5 p, Hikma  HIK.L up 1.15% at 1,572p while AstraZeneca AZN.L marginally up 0.5% at 14,044p

** Announcement expected from White House

** The White House and the British government did not immediately respond to Reuters requests for comment
