** Shares of infrastructure products maker Hill & Smith HILS.L up 13.5% at 1,968p

** Stock top gainer on FTSE mid-cap index .FTMC which is up 0.3%

** Co reports core profit of 143.5 mln pounds ($185.5 mln) for 2024, beating company-compiled estimate of 139.1 mln pounds

** Says confident of growth in its U.S. and India businesses, although budgetary pressures have made conditions in UK challenging

** Raises long-term operating profit margin target to 18% from 15%

** The stock has risen 4.4% YTD
