Chimeric Therapeutics soars on FDA nod for gastrointestinal cancer therapy

** Shares of Chimeric Therapeutics Ltd  CHM.AX  soar as much
as 80.8% to A$0.047, their biggest-ever intraday jump
    ** CHM, a clinical-stage cell therapy firm, trading at its
highest since Oct. 23 as at 0027 GMT
    ** Says U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved its
investigational new drug application for CHM 2101, a cell
therapy for gastrointestinal cancers
    ** More than 34.7 mln shares change hands, vs the 30-day
average of about 1.3 mln shares
    ** CHM down 67.5% this year as of last close
