The Times
- Legal & General LGEN.L has agreed to sell Cala Homes to
American private equity firm Sixth Street Partners and
London-based buyout house Patron Capital for 1.16 billion pounds
($1.53 billion) in cash.
- Nick Read will step down as chief executive of the Post
Office next year after a five-year stint.
The Guardian
- Veteran retailer Stuart Rose will take charge of running
Asda as the struggling supermarket's co-owner Mohsin Issa steps
back from executive duties amid falling sales, the company said
on Wednesday.
- Hostmore MOREH.L said it plans to appoint
administrators, putting the future of its 87 outlets and 4,500
employees in doubt.
