TOKYO, June 6 (Reuters) - Japanese oil refiner Idemitsu Kosan 5019.T shut the 155,000 barrels-per-day No.3 crude distillation unit (CDU) at its Yokkaichi refinery in central Japan on May 19 for scheduled maintenance, a company spokesperson said on Friday.
The unit is expected to resume operations around August, the spokesperson said.
In addition, Idemitsu' affiliate Fuji Oil 5017.T shut the 143,000-bpd CDU at its Sodegaura refinery near Tokyo in early May for scheduled turnaround, which is expected to continue through late July, another spokesperson of Fuji Oil said on Friday.
