** IMDEX IMD.AX rises as much as 2.8% to A$2.990; marks highest level since May 5

** Mining tech co buys Norway-based Earth Science Analytics AS to create open platform for all earth systems and deliver enhanced AI-enabled geoscience solutions

** Co will initially pay A$26 mln ($17.1 mln) for 80.5% stake and buy the remaining stake after four years

** Expects acquisition to contribute ~A$4 mln in revenue, resulting in break-even EBITDA margin in FY26

** YTD, IMD gains 27.8%
