Pursuant to the relevant Clause of the Listing Agreement with the Stock Exchanges, The Indian Hotels Company Limited (The Taj Group of Hotels) announces that Mr. Rakesh K. Sarna will take over and join as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer effective September 1, 2014. Mr. Sarna is a hospitality industry veteran, having spent over three decades with the Hyatt Hotels Corporation in the past.
Mr. Sarna's appointment was approved by the Board of Directors at its meeting held earlier this morning.
