The benchmark S&P 500 edged back to five-month highs on Friday as gains in
industrials and energy companies more than offset a drop in financials after a
mixed bag of quarterly reports from three big Wall Street banks.  .N 
    At 11:50 a.m. EDT the Dow Jones Industrial Average  .DJI  was up 75.81
points, or 0.30 percent, at 25,000.70. The S&P 500  .SPX  was up 3.34 points, or
0.12 percent, at 2,801.63. The Nasdaq Composite  .IXIC  was up 9.70 points, or
0.12 percent, at 7,833.62
