Italy's government aims to approve the 2027 budget on Wednesday, coalition sources said on Monday, while Rome is still negotiating with EU authorities on the so-called "National escape clause" from the bloc's budget rules.

The NEC currently allows temporary higher deficits for investments on defence and the green energy transition, but Rome also wants to use the extra budget leeway to help families cope with surging energy costs.

The Treasury said on Monday it would sell up to €7.75 billion in bonds at October 29 auction.

The bank will hold a board meeting on Tuesday to discuss its stance at Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena's BMPS.MI shareholders assembly the following day. RECORDATI RECI.MI

The takeover offer by CVC CVC.AS and Belgian investment firm GBL GBLB.BR, which ended on Friday, will reopen during November 3-9, with the offerors still paying €53 per tendered share, Recordati said on Monday.

(*) Respighi HoldCo, the vehicle through which CVC and GBL are acquiring Recordati, has launched a €6.05 billion offering of senior secured bonds in five tranches to finance the transaction, MF daily reported on Tuesday.

UNIPOL UNPI.MI

The insurer said that 98.42% of its planned €2.5 billion capital increase was subscribed at the end of the offer on Monday, for an aggregate amount of €2.46 billion.
