U.S. stocks rose on Tuesday, led by gains in industrials and a rebound in
technology stocks, after a report that the United States and China hoped to
resume talks to defuse a trade war between the world's two largest economies.

    At 13:28 ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average  .DJI  was up 0.66 percent at
25,473.81. The S&P 500  .SPX  was up 0.64 percent at 2,820.64 and the Nasdaq
