U.S. stocks rose on Tuesday, led by industrial companies, after a report that
the U.S. and China were trying to resume negotiations to defuse a trade war
between world's two largest economies.  .N 
    At 12:05 ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average  .DJI  was up 0.60 percent at
25,459.26. The S&P 500  .SPX  was up 0.66 percent at 2,820.96 and the Nasdaq
Composite  .IXIC  was up 0.90 percent at 7,698.746.
