Australia's Investigator Resources climbs on JV deal

** Shares of Investigator Resources  IVR.AX  climb 8.3% to
A$0.052, set for its best day since Nov. 7, if gains hold
    ** Metal explorer forms JV with Thor Mining  THRL.L  to
speed up exploration at Thor's Molyhil tenements in north-east
of Alice Springs
    ** Investigator Resources to fund A$8 mln ($5.4 mln) in a
staged manner to acquire 80% interest in the JV
    ** About 7.8 mln shares have changed hands, compared with
the 30-day average of 3.1 mln shares
    ** Stock has fallen 31.4% so far this year, as of last close
